Winning tickets for MTV World Stage in Malaysia 2012

Finally won something after a 5 month pause, MTV World Stage in Malaysia 2012, having Jay Park, Kara, Justin Bieber and Mizz Nina as the major line-ups! I won a pair of instant win tickets. MTV Asia is having a game session where you have to click on alphabets to form the words given. After you successfully click on all the alphabets, you will either win any one of the below:

1. Instant win : You will have to fill up only your particulars as fast as you can and click submit. Then the coming screen will pop out stating whether have you win those tickets, if you do, the picture below is what they will say. And this is what I won. Click the photos to view full size.

I remember winning the same thing (instant win) last year when MTV World Stage was having Beast, 30 seconds to Mars, Pop Shuvit and Tokio Hotel as the line-ups. Sadly I wasn't able to attend although I got the tickets thanks to my government examination, SPM. It was around July and it was kinda late, so gotta give up the tickets. Below are the pictures of the screen cap and my tickets, I still have them in my drawer :)

It was a snail mail from Singapore cause I think MTV Asia is based in Singapore, even the envelope was attractive and nicely designed :D worth the keeping, with my name on it (censored)

The pair of tickets, the quality was nice and it is water proof. Nice tickets!

Nearly got a heart attack when I saw this popped out, I guess everybody else did too.

2. Stand a chance to win : If you get this (I'm sure most of the people who click the alphabets correct will straightaway stand a chance) you are required to write why do you deserve to win the tickets to watch MTV World Stage in Malaysia 2012 with word limits of 250. After completing the form, you might stand a chance to win the tickets, the winner list will be out 2 days after the game session ends. Check your email regularly after that!

3. Miscellaneous : You might win goodies from MTV Asia by luck! Digital photo frame, festival tickets and etc.

Here are some tips on how to win the tickets from MTV Asia!

1. Have a good Internet connection. The faster your Internet is, the faster you will be able to submit your entry. Don’t delay in filling up your particulars when prompted!

2. You don’t need to be a genius to play our word game. The one thing you don’t want to be is impatient. You might just click on a wrong letter if you’re in haste!

3. Determine what you think is the best times to win passes. There are thousands of people out there trying to win passes and you will be battling all of them to be one of the winners. Jay Park created the hottest day in Malaysia

Multi-talented Kpop artist, Jay Park has finally made his way to Malaysia for his new album showcase titled 'DiGi Live K-pop presents Jay Park Showcase' which took place on the 12 May and 13 May respectively. A day before the KL showcase, he headed to the east of Malaysia to meet his fans in Kota Kinabalu first. As on the 13th, the showcase for his album promotion took place at KL Life Centre and we, Elosoul were there for the event coverage. Head on the full post for more scoop of the event!

The show started off at 7.30pm not long after the fans successfully filled up the whole venue KL Live by 7.19pm.  Also, the organizer did not let fans wait too long before Jay Park emerged on stage minutes later.

Baki Zainal,  TV host of 8TV was the emcee for the night and he managed to pump the crowd and kept on teasing the fans by mentioning 'Jay Park'. Each time when Baki said the magic word, "Jay Park" the crowd went all wild and crazy. Several moments later, Jaywalkers were finally greeted by Jay Park with a shy smile, clad in a black tank top showing off his hard-rock arm muscles and caused the fans to go 'Gaga'.

Jay Park sang Bruno Mars' 'Nothin' On You' as the first intro of the show and showed off some of his iconic dance moves. The crowd were amazed as Jay rapped in English and hit the high notes while dancing at the same time.

'Star' was Jay's second song for the night. The crowd were totally immersed into his romantic love song and his perfect grooves. His well-known choreography at the chorus made fans screamed their lungs out, trying to get Jay's attention from afar. Fan boards such as "Marry me, Jay Park" could also be seen in the crowd. After that, Jay took a short rest and had a small talk with Baki. A special made birthday video by Malaysian Jaywalkers to Jay was revealed on the screen and touched his heart. Well, he was really happy.

 He said that although his birthday was on April 25 and today was May 13, he was still happy that Malaysian Jaywalkers are celebrating his birthday with him.

Another surprise which shocked the crowd was when Baki introduced two fans on stage and each of them was holding a gift for Jay Park. Malaysian Jaywalkers gave him a special limited edition stamp by PosMalaysia with Jay's face imprinted on it. The other gift was a birthday cake with a small Jay figurine on the cake. Malaysian Jaywalkers then sang a birthday song to him, having Jay to beatbox along with it, making it sound like a duet with fans. Next, he came back on stage to play games with four lucky fans, who won the lucky draw. Their mission was to imitate Jay's dance move. Fans who received the most cheer from the crowd will be the winner and get to snap a photo on stage with him. But of course, he led off with a demo for them to follow his moves.

 

The show continued on with his hit song "Up and Down" and the crowd sang along with him with the fanchants. Throughout the song, Jay interacted a lot with the fans.

"Know Your Name" was definitely the highlight of the night.This time, he put on a jacket just to match the dancers at the back. Fanchants were so clearly heard during the chorus part, leaving a smile on Jay's face before he end the song. "First you ask their name, and then you ask them to be your girlfriend!" was what Jay said before he continued to sing "Girlfriend". That was the sweetest thing he said to his fans that night. Jay enjoyed singing the song and was giving fan service to the camera. "Just be my girlfriend, my girlfriend, my girlfriend, my girl." The lyrics in the song made fans dream for more.

Jay sang "Enjoy The Show" after getting himself dressed with another tight black tank top, showing off his well built body. Fans were asked to sit back, relax and enjoy the show by Jay Park in the lyrics, fans were giving awesome response to him as they cheered along and waved their hands in the air.

After the song ended, the media was invited on stage to take photo of Jay together with the Jaywalkers under the stage. Not long later, the autograph session started. As Jay sat on the chair, he gave his killer smile to the press right before the first fan arrived on stage for an autograph. Jay also insisted to sign on every album and poster for the fans, and also shake their hands. I went on stage to get his autograph too, and to be honest, Jay has the most perfect porcelain skin I've ever seen and also the warmest hand.

The showcase ended around 9.18pm and there were still fans who just wanted to have the last glimpse on Jay Park. Jay said thank you to all his fans after ending his autograph session on stage. 

Apart from the showcase, lucky Digi Customers also managed to catch the star in action in a basketball match against his fans at SM Sri KDU which held yesterday 14 May. For this activity, 400 lucky fans received limited audience passes via a contest on the DiGi Youths Facebook page.

Jay Park's press conference in Malaysia

Jay Park  has finally made his way to Malaysia to meet his Malaysian Jaywalkers who have been supporting and waiting him since his debut and after he left 2PM. Elosoul attended the press conference which took place last Sunday (May 13) at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Head on the full post to find out what did Jay Park revealed exclusively for the press and to his Malaysian Jaywalkers!

Jay made his entrance into the ballroom hall with a shy smile on his face which marked the start of press conference. Jay said he loves rapping, singing, dancing, composing, producing and he enjoys whatever he likes to do. It is rewarding and awesome although the path as an artist is tough but it was worth it. And for that, emcee Baki asked whether does he feel uncomfortable each time when all of the female fans cheered at his face with the phrase "Welcome Jay Park!". Well, he honestly thinks that its 'Wonderful'. (Jaywalkers, you heard the man!)

He was later asked on how he feel after receiving so much love from Malaysia. To that, he replied that he wasn't expecting a huge response from the Malaysia fans until he came here. Also, he's thankful to Jaywalkers in Malaysia who like and supported his new album, 'New Breed' . Of course like any other celebs, Jay wasn't excused for any relationship questions by the media. In response, he said "I'm 28 and I'm a little busy. But in the future, I would like to have just one girlfriend, yeah just one."

Jay likes composing songs for himself compared to writing songs for other idols because in his own songs, he doesn't put any limits, he sings whatever he wants and he content could be about anything. He tends to make the beat more R&B and hip-hop-ish and it doesn't really need to be catchy. In contrast, if he had to produce songs for idol groups, it has to be catchy and easy to sing along to for mass appeal. He also said that he would like to try more acting in the future since he doesn't have too much time now. When the right opportunity comes, and his schedule is free, he would definitely grab the chance. So, Jaywalkers stay tuned!

When Jay was asked whether how does he feel that now the whole world is into Kpop music, Jay kindly responded, "Well I think it's great, and I'm doing Kpop also, I mean they like the music, they like to sing to it, they like to dance to it, I think it's great. And I don't think I'm competing with other artists or other idols, I feel like I just do my thing, I choose my own career path, I write my own music, I'm just enjoying performing in front of my fans." What a humble guy he is!

Jay also admitted that collaborating with Michael Jackson was his dream, but it is impossible to achieve unless they do a digital collaboration, which might be possible. So, Jay chose Usher as the artist that he would most like to collaborate with.

The next question popped was to the singer was what kind of character he would like to challenge in a drama. He responded, "I would like to be a funny guy, or those guys who are like at first they seems kinda like a loser, but as you get into the character, it seems more and more cool, like Transformer's Shia LaBeouf. At first he doesn't seem like a hero. Or even Tobey Mcguire from Spiderman, they seem more and more cool as the character goes on."

At the end, Jay was requested by the media to do aegyo (cute faces) on stage, Jay shyly placed his hands under his chin, looking like a flower. He killed the camera's light bulb, as expected.

A representative from Universal Music Malaysia stated that Kpop is conquering the music industry in this era. They are delighted to have Jay Park here in Malaysia and they know that fans need more interaction with the artist other than just see them perform on stage. That's why DiGi and Universal Music Malaysia came out with a "Jay Park Campus Basketball Match with Fans in Sri KDU in Kota Damansara" on Monday (14/05/12). 400 lucky fans are entitled a pass to enter the venue to watch Jay Park plays basketball. 5 fans are lucky enough to have the chance to play basketball with Jay Park. Universal Music Malaysia hopes that DiGi can support Kpop in the future and collaborate with them to bring more Kpop artist over.

FIRST OF ALL, I’LL HAVE TO CALM DOWN A LITTLE AFTER RETURNING FROM LEISURE MALL OUTDOOR BY UNDO THE CAPS LOCK. *phew

So, basically, today was Alexander’s first ever solo showcase live in Malaysia. It was at Leisure Mall outdoor at Cheras. The whole road was blocked just for Xander! Thank god it didnt rain cause the showcase was at outdoor. Even Xander thanked god. The showcase started at 7pm after letting fans going in. VIP X ZONE, the zone which where Jolene, Kar Yan, Vivian, Xi Yuan and I was. The closest zone from the stage. Oh yeah, last minute we got like extra 8 A ZONE tickets lol didnt know what to do, Vivian going around selling and aiming targets. Manage to sell them off luckily.

Xander sang new songs from his album, Oh Baby, I just, Bad Girl and extra 2 songs which are That Man from Secret Garden and Qing Fei De Yi from Meteor Garden *ok, both songs have garden in their titles lol. Anyway, he did the body wave thing during Bad girl and of course, the fans went wild. He sang Oh Baby again for encore, and threw posters and water bottle haha. Well his dancers wore a shirt caption ALEXANDER in pink and threw it to the crowds. KarYan got a poster! ;p

OH AND THE BEST PART WAS when they screened the video contest winner’s video to the public. First was Angeline’s, then Mimi and Hanani’s, then mine and Jolene’s! Well, fans screamed when they saw Xander doing the cute dog and sexy cat thing. Never expect Soya Beanz, the main organizer would actually play it. It was nice anyways ;D We didnt expect it at all, more like a surprise for us.

The shuffles, doing body waves, act cute, being naughty, teasing fans by lifting up the corner of his shirt, half revealing his abs. *NOSE BLEED TO THE MAX!! he said I know you guys want it :p of course! who doesnt! He said he gave most of his “FIRST” to Malaysia. Like having lunch gathering and previewed his I just MV! OH and Xander loves durian! <3

He started the fan sign early. Soya Beanz said that we can let him sign on Calender and album BOTH but since they’re scared that he might not be able to finish them, they let us choose only ONE thing to let Xander sign. Well since i bought the album, will just let him sign on it! Now i have more than enought stuffs with Xander’s autograph but i just cant get over it! not until i get my piano signed! haha *crazy~

I hope Xander can get some rest after the performance! Even im tired, cant imagine what’s Xander going through. But im sure he felt happy, really happy that so many fans came to his show, he was expecting only half of the crowd! Please support Xander with more love and cheers will you? <3 He made a promised to all the lunch gathering fans that he will tweet a photo of all of us, hope he keeps his promise <3 keep our fingers crossed girls! My polaroid! Taken with Alexander during the lunch gathering this afternoon. He was charming~<3 He said he likes durian and he even brought one back to his hotel and ate it in the bathroom lol

A very memorable day as I was so close with Xander at almost zero distance. Got this photograph and also a hug from him, eh no, two hugs actually, including the goodbye hug <3 The lunch was great, lasted for an hour full with laughters. Xander do the talking mostly and told us some secrets.

He said Ukiss trained for 6 months before debut unlike the others who trained for 6-7 years. That’s the tough part when they start to get popular, they have to perform and practice at the same time. He said his withdrawal from Ukiss was complicated and he asked us to keep the convo between us and him a secret and I’ll have to since he said it should be private and confidential.

He also signed on my Iphone case which initially have the autograph of all UKISS members except for Xander and Kibum, but with Hoon and AJ. Now i feel better to see his autograph on his Iphone case. I sat beside him throughout the lunch gathering :) he wanted fans to be close together so that everyone can hear him and he can hear everyone. I swear his complexion was ANGELIC!! *faints~

Well, tomorrow I’m still going to his showcase, every ticket holder entitled a card calender which we can bring it on stage to let him sign. But I will still but his album tomorrow anyway. He will be signing on the album too ;D

*oh and i took a selca with him too with my handphone. will be updating it tomorrow. It will be my wallpaper and profile photo on facebook for the rest of the year ;p

2AM Exclusive showcase day!

Today was really a tiring day! I woke up a little late cause was too tired, around 11am. Went to Wisma MCA around 1.30pm. Many fans were there already, lining in front of me was like 200 of them. As time goes by, many of them keep cutting lines. While twitting and facebook-ing, I was Mykpophuntress was actually there too! I went in front and talked to them. They agreed to let me join them. It was like 20 in front of me. it was so near to the front line! They let us in around 5pm. Digi started screening the tweets from fans. Mine was shown a few times on t6.20pm, the big screen. Around the emcee, Jin(Hitzfm) came out and warmed up the fans. Then, 2AM came out and sang around 6 songs. It was so awesome!

They prepared a video for the fans. It was a story about how they met each other and their 1st impression towards each other and also what happened during their trainee days. They actually cried when they 1st debut on stage. Jokwon actually have been a trainee for 2700+ days. It was such a hard destiny for him. Jinwoon was actually angry with 2 things. One was because he never had the chance to sing the chorus part in 2AM's songs since the "THIS SONG". He actually went to the karaoke room to sing the chorus part of 2AM's song for almost 52 times! He wanted to sing the chorus so badly.

The second thing was he did not have any solo career like the other members did. Jokwon had his own variety show with Ga-in in "We got married" while Changmin sang duet with other singers and it was a hit! Seulong too sang a song with IU and actually got 1st in Musicbank. He always wanted to have his own solo career. He then asked the producers to help him in producing songs. He finally wrote a rock song and texted JYP, saying that this song will be his solo song! But then JYP didnt respond towards his text message. He called JYP and there was no answer too! He spoke the line which Seulong said in the music video "YOU WOULDN'T ANSWER MY CALL", then 2AM came out and sang their hearts out. Their live singing was so good! The the video continued with how they met each other.

1st was Jokwon. He was mopping the floor and singing in the practice room. Then Seulong came in. He thought Seulong was younger than him and he was ready to show him that he is more powerful as he was already a trainee there. But then when Seulong show him his ID, he was actually older than him. He said that he 1st saw Seulong, he was so nervous. He even get tripped by his own legs. He always dance carelessly too!

Nest was Jinwoon. They said that he was so tall and keep on smiling and greets them as soon as he stepped in the dancing room. Then, Changmin was the last to join them. They 1st saw him was he was carrying a big tank full of water and they thought he was just a staff when he appeared by the corridor. Jokwon said that there was once when he slided the car door and Jinwoon skidded and jumped in the car and got the best seat. Besides, there was once when they ordered different dishes or dinner and Jinwoon ended up buying only JaJangMyeon for everyone. There was also once when Changmin had to clean the dancing room by himself and Jinwoon said he will help him up next time. After a few more songs and games, we sang Happy Birthday song to Seulong, Jinwoon and Changmin, the May babies! In korean and Malay. The cake was a twin tower.

After that, games and songs were continued. The finally sang their last song. The we shouted encore and they went back on stage to sing the one last song. Then they walked off the stage and marked the end!! The ticket price was so worth the showcase and the autograph session, it cost only RM80 by reloading DIGI's number.

2AM Exclusive autograph session

I saw 2AM!! The autograph event started at 8pm, I reached there a little bit late, unfortunately the free albums were all given out. I got a poster for them to sign anyway. Around 8.20pm, 2AM showed up. They were all dressed in white suit with a cute smile on their face. I totally fell for Seulong, he is so cute in person!!

Changmin too! They really looked so handsome! I didn't really listen to what they said during the interview session because everyone was so noisy and i find the translator sos cute! <3 haha He's a korean obviously. Anyway, back to 2AM, they surprisingly sang a song before the autograph session begins. They sang YOU WOULDN'T ANSWER MY CALL, it reminds me of Seulong in the video. How cute! They sang it live and it was stunning!

Their vocals are really good, no lie! They really sang well! Or should I say they sang really well? After the song, the fans started to make their lines at the right side of the stage. I didn't wanted to go out so early since once you get down from the stage, you have to leave the building immediately. I took lots of lots of pictures. Many people was lining up and I saw 2 fans with posters were not allowed to take their autographs. So, I went back to reach the organizers and ask them about it. After their re-confirmation, I went to line up as the last 15. When I reached the side of the stage, the staffs stopped me from going up stage without an album. I told them the staffs behind said poster is allowed. Then an Indian lady came and said,:it's the last already, just let them up with the poster." The staff then took the number from me and let me up.

The first was Changmin, I said hi to him and he replied. He was just smiling and smiling. The next was Jokwon. I said hi to him and he said thank you all the way. His skin was so fair! he was skinny too! The next one was Jinwoon, I said hi to him in korean and he was a little surprised and shocked. He smile so charmingly and said thank you. The last one is my bias, Seulong!I said hi to him and he said thank you. He smiled all the way and he was just too cute to handle! He was the only one I asked for a handshake. He shake my hand politely, damn the staff beside him was like, "sorry, sorry:\" and using her hand to cut me off. I didn't care much because I knew that is my only chance to touch his hands.

After he finish signing, I got off stage. Many fans were still gathering outside. We then saw 2 vans parking by the lobby.Many thought 2AM will be taking the vans back since the window was so dark. Then all of a sudden, many people were screaming and chasing a van coming out from the opposite side. YUP! IT WAS 2AM!! The securities held up their clothings to block us from taking photos of them( and i really don't know what for). God was with us that day, it was so jammed up. We ran to the vehicles and video taped them. Well, at least I still got a glimpsed at the boys! Finally, the van sped off. Everyone was still screaming and dreaming like me and I can actually see that! LOL I'm ready for tomorrow! I bet it will be awesome!!
