PARK BO GUM TO MEET FANS IN MALAYSIA FOR THE FIRST TIME

Korean heartthrob Park Bo Gum is set to make his debut appearance in Malaysia! 2016-2017 PARK BOGUM ASIA TOUR IN KUALA LUMPUR, the first stop of the tour, will be taking place on 10 December, 7:30p.m. at KLCC Plenary Hall. 

Half of the tickets are sold out on the day of the online ticket launch. The server was crashed half an hour before the sales begin as fans throng to the site to get their tickets early.

To engage fans’ participation, the organisers recently announced “Fan Project Involvement”, which is open to all ticket holders. Segregated into 3 parts, fans get to submit their questions, request what they wish to see Park Bo Gum do onstage and vote for best scene in the series Love in the Moonlight and Reply 1988. Park Bo Gum will answer your questions and requests.One of the many requests fans wish to see is Park Bo Gum’s BOOMBASTIC dance and him playing the piano etc. But for sure, he will sing “My Dearest” on the event day.

Aside from showcasing his talents in acting and singing that evening, Park Bo Gum is also known of his warmness to fans. He prepare a lot of surprise segment to interact with his fans closely. You will be surprised to find out what he has planned for his beloved Malaysian fans. He has already shown his affection by mentioning Malaysian fans being great in the promotional video, why don’t we get ready to be showered by his love? And get up close and personal with him as he greets each of you in person. 

VIP ticket holders get the chance to take part in a lucky draw for a group photo session with Park Bo Gum (20 pax in a group, total of 15 groups). Autographed posters will also be given out to 50 lucky draw winners.

Friday Night Date with Roy Kim!

Roy Kim, a South Korean singer-songwriter came to Malaysia for the first time to promote his third album which is “The Great Dipper” and also held a showcase on 26^th August 2016 in Paradigm Mall. Thanks to Warner Music Malaysia for inviting Roy Kim to Malaysia and organizes this event. Many fans came early to participate in the events such as first 100 passes for Album Signing event, 300 passes of Photocard Giving Session and also a Meet & Greet session for the lucky winners of giveaways.

Roy started his showcase with a Chinese song “Tian Hei Hei” (天黑黑/ Cloudy Day), originally sung by a Singaporean singer, Stephanie Sun. Many fans were very impressed with his live performance as his mandarin pronunciation are very accurate and he delivered the emotions of the song very well which has touched many fans’ heart. He then performed another four songs which includes “Love Love Love”, “Pinocchio”, “Home”, Damien Rice’s “The Blower’s Daughter” and “Bom Bom Bom”.

During his performance, he did not forget about his fans on the sides. He shifted his microphone and carried his guitar to both sides so that fans from the sides are able to get a better view of him. The fans sang along and did fan chant during his performance.

When the emcee asked the fans to describe Roy Kim, many of them shouted handsome, cool, talented, cute, sexy and more. He playfully agreed that he is handsome and cool.

He stated that his mother contributed a large influence to his music when he was questioned why he sings ballad more. He revealed that his mother likes to listen to folk songs which leads him listening to them as he grew up. Unlike his friends who prefer to listen to dance songs. 

He mentioned that he enjoyed Malaysian cuisine and had it for two consecutive days for both lunch and dinner. Roy Kim chose Kangkung Sambal when the emcee asked him what is his favourite Malaysian food.

He also revealed that he had caught about twenty Pokemons in the country. He also broke the news to his fans that he will be going back to Washington to continue his studies in the few days.

He also mentioned that he is thankful to everyone as he did not expect this amount of fans came to support him. Malaysia will be his last stop for this promo tour this year and he hopes that the next tour in Malaysia will be a full concert.

Before ending the showcase, Roy Kim personally handed photocards to fans who purchased his caller ringtone. Roy Kim’s showcase was a success! All the best to Roy Kim in his studies and hope to see him soon in Malaysia!

Roy Kim greets local media at Roy Kim Promo Tour In Malaysia Press Conference!

Finally! The multi-talented South Korean singer-songwriter, Roy Kim came to Malaysia for the first time for his promo tour. Thanks to Warner Music Malaysia which is the organizer of his promo tour in Malaysia. He greeted the local media at a press conference which was held at Pullman Hotel, Bangsar before starting his official schedule in Malaysia.

During the press conference, he revealed that he actually playing Pokemon Go which is the current trend and he reached level 7.

Roy Kim mentioned that he wrote his very own first song during his high school years for an assignment and he never showed it to his parents before. He started composing as his hobby and later on it became his job. Through music, he is able to travel around the world which he enjoys a lot. According to Roy, his inspiration in composing song usually comes at night and when he is alone. He also mentioned that he wrote a song the night before the press conference in his hotel room since he was excited and kind of drunk. Since he was unable to recall the lyrics, he told the media that he promised that he will indicate that the song is written in Malaysia if it is released. So, stay tuned to all Malaysian Royrose!

Throughout his music career, he once felt that singing was tiring and was not as exciting as before during his first year of debut. He was only 19 years old at that time. 

According to Roy, his current favourite musician is Damien Rice and he is listening to a lot of sad songs these days. When the emcee asked him to choose his favourite song among all the songs he wrote, he said he could not choose as all the songs are as precious just like his babies. After thinking for some time, he chose “Home” from his second album as of 10.45am because the song is about his dog. As for the hardest song he ever composed, he chose “Maybe I” (어쩌면 나) from the drama, “Oh Hae Young Again” (또! 오해영). He took six to seven hours to record the song.

He also revealed the weirdest thing happened during the preparation of his third album. He was recording “Stay” while drinking Korean liquor with his producer. They thought the recording was successful. It turned out to be really bad when they listened it to the following day as they were drunk. He had to re-record the song again.

Roy Kim shared that he would like to take some time off and travel around for a tour since he had released three full albums. For the past three years, he did not appear in many television programmes as he did not want to be the “TV guy” and wishes to focus more on music.

He also revealed that he will be going back to Washington for school after a few days and only return after three or four months. He jokingly replied “no” when he was asked whether he is excited for school. He mentioned that people calls him vacation singer but he was not able to rest much as a singer. Going back to university is more like rest time for him.

Meet Korean heartthrob singer Roy Kim in Malaysia!

Roy Kim, a South Korean singer, songwriter is coming to Malaysia to meet his fans for the first time. He started his singing career after winning one of the biggest Korean audition programs. Roy Kim officially debuted in 2013, with his 1st studio album, Love Love Love. His hit song “Bom Bom Bom” became the fourth most successful song of that year in South Korea. With this album, Roy Kim won trophies for Best Newcomer at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards and the 2014 Golden Disk Awards.

In 2014, Roy Kim released his 2nd album Home. The song “Home” is the highlight track of the album. This song peaked at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart and won first on Mnet's M! Countdown and MBC's Show! Music Core.

In 2015, he finally came out with his 3rd album The Great Dipper and drew great attention.

As of 2016, Roy Kim not only held his solo concert in Korea, but also had his first overseas concert in Taiwan. Roy Kim recently released a remake Digital Single Album of the Chinese song ‘Cloudy Day’ in July. He will be paying a visit to Malaysia for his Showcase which is scheduled on the 26th of August in Kuala Lumpur followed by a performance at the “MY FM Dare Dare Come 2.0 Go!” as the first Korean Singer in Ipoh on the 27th .

With staggering more than 3 million subscribers in his Youtube channel alone, Sungha Jung is one of the most successful teenage finger style guitar players in the world. His guitar rendition of pop music, contemporary, jazz and classical tunes have been viewed more than 1 Billion times around the world. He was given nicknames such as “Guitar Prodigy” and “August Rush” in Korea through the popular television program “Star King”.

Sungha Jung began to play the guitar after watching his father playing it. Then he was introduced to finger-style by his father when he found it on the internet which later he developed the interest towards it.   He improved his skills quickly by watching, learning and covering songs of famous finger-style guitarist such as Ulli Boegerhausen, Andy Mckee, Tommy Emmanuel and Kotaro Oshio without any reading material and just by using his ears and eyes on the videos.

Sungha’s journey to become a star when his rendition of “The Pirates of the Caribbean” theme song was viewed more than 50 million times on Youtube, making  Sungha an internet sensation. Sungha has also been receiving guitar lessons and advice from other re-known guitarist such as Kotaro Oshio and Tommy Emmanuel but he has been mentored by a German guitarist Ulli Bogershausen, whom Sungha refer to him as his musical inspiration and from whom he learnt much about music composing.

In addition to steel-strings and classical guitar, he has been playing the 12 string guitar, electric guitar and ukulele. He has made several performances by performing with his electric guitar and ukulele in his concert. He sings as well and he sang John Mayer’s “Why Georgia” at a concert in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2014.

“MTV WORLD STAGE MALAYSIA 2015” TURNS THE LENS ON FANS AS IT RETURNS ON 12 SEPTEMBER

KUALA LUMPUR/ SINGAPORE, 7 JULY 2015 – Get ready, Kuala Lumpur! MTV World Stage Malaysia is back – bigger than ever as MTV turns the lens on its fans with unprecedented fan offerings! MTV, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), has officially announced MTV World Stage Malaysia is back for the seventh-year running. Recorded live for global telecast, the highly-anticipated outdoor event is set to take place once again at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon on Saturday, 12 September 2015. The event will feature a line-up with five acts to be announced in the coming weeks including two international acts, two regional acts and one #MostWantedMalaysia act who will all join the MTV stage. MTV VJs Alan and Hanli will reprise their roles as the event’s hosts.

Additionally, MTV announced it will launch a new Asia multi-platform campaign MTV Breaks ignited by Xpax, which gives talented millennials across Asia* the chance to kick-start a career in the creative industries by offering life-changing opportunities through a mentorship stint** on MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015. Launched globally at last year’s MTV EMA, it is the first time this highly successful property aimed at creating economic opportunity for talented millennials, is being launched with an Asia version in the region.

MTV Breaks by Xpax is offering big ‘breaks’ to three talented, young creatives who will get the opportunity for a stint as a photographer, multimedia content creator or motion graphics designer at this year’s event. The selected candidates will be mentored by experts within the industry and the MTV team. Selected candidates will have their work featured on various MTV platforms.

Malaysia’s #MostWanted Act for MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015

In another offering to turn the spotlight on fans, MTV is presenting an opportunity for up and coming Malaysian acts to showcase their talents as Malaysia’s #MostWanted Act at MTV World Stage Malaysia. Local artists or bands keen to participate can submit their interest via worldstage.mtvasia.com from 13 – 26 July. From 30 July – 14 August, fans can show their support by hashtagging their preferred local band or artist they want to see perform at MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015. Based on fans’ votes and other performance criteria, Malaysia’s #MostWanted Act will perform as the opening act at the show.

(Kuala Lumpur, 21 May) BIGBANG 2015 WORLD TOUR [MADE] IN MALAYSIA ticket launch was successfully held on 17th May at Quill City Mall. Thousands of BIGBANG fans were present at the ticket launch to purchase the tickets last Sunday. The concert tickets on July 25th were sold out within few days after the ticket launch. Fans have been requesting for additional show as they did not manage to purchase their tickets. After further discussion with the Korean management, IME Productions decided to add an additional show on July 24th (Friday), 8:30p.m. at Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium. Another surprise that fans can look forward too is the concert's giant banner which will be hung at Quill City Mall's building this Saturday.

Supported by Malaysia Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture together with Official Telco Hotlink.

Bangtan Boys (BTS), a South Korean seven-member hip hop boy group, will hold their first ever world tour in Malaysia on 6^th June 2015, 6:00p.m. at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur, organized by IME Productions.
